Restore from a backup: sign in on the new phone, pick the file, and enter the six-digit code we email you. Turn on automatic backup — daily, weekly or monthly — in Settings → Backup and restore, and share a copy off the phone now and then, because the automatic ones are saved on the phone too. Without a backup, the data cannot be recovered.

Yes. Marking, attendance, lesson plans, exams and backups all work with no signal. Signing in, buying a plan and restoring a backup need a connection, and the app checks in with your account at least once every five days — after five days offline it asks you to sign in again, and your gradebook is still there.

Yes. Gradely is on Google Play and the App Store — the same app on both. Changing phones? Take a backup, move the file to the new phone, and restore it after you sign in with the code we email you.

Free to start. The paid plan is ₱149 a month, or ₱1,490 a year — 17% off paying monthly — whatever level you teach, and it has everything. You pay through Google Play or the App Store, it renews each month or each year, and you can cancel there at any time.

Yes. A class is one name you write yourself — “Grade 11 STEM – A”, “BSIT 1A” or just “Grade 5 – Sampaguita” — with a room if you want one. Above the classes sit your school years and their terms, and you can rename those and add your own. Subjects, grading schemes and grading scales are all yours to edit too. The free plan limits how many of each you can keep; any paid plan lifts every limit.

Yes. Pick every subject a class takes when you make it, or add more later from the class page. Each subject keeps its own assessments, grades and schedule, and they all share the class’s one roster — enrolling someone puts them in every subject, including any you add later. On the free plan one class can take up to 5 subjects.

Yes — for a second section that takes the same subjects, say. Give the copy its own name, then choose what comes with it: which subjects, whether the students come too, and whether the assessments do, from the quarters you pick. Marks can come as well. The class you copied from is left exactly as it was. To bring classes into a new school year, use Import instead.

Unenroll them from the class roster. Before anything happens, the app shows every mark they have in the class’s subjects and what unenrolling does; you type UNENROLL to confirm. They leave the class and all its subjects together. Nothing is deleted — their marks and attendance are set aside, and enrolling them again brings every one back. They stay on your account and in their other classes.

Yes, on every plan — the free plan marks up to 5 students a day. Each class has one register, the same whichever subject is open. Open the class, switch to Attendance and tap Take attendance — today is picked, or choose an earlier day — then go down the roster marking each student present, absent, late or excused, with a note if you like. Late counts as there. The history shows as a month or a list, and you can print grades, attendance or both, for a class or a single student. Your notes are for you: students never see them, and they print only on one student’s record, if you tick them.

Yes, as a starting point. Settings → Subjects suggests the usual learning areas for your level — Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science, Araling Panlipunan, EsP, MAPEH, TLE and the Senior High core for high school; the General Education courses and Rizal for college — and you add only the ones you teach. The grading scales include the DepEd 1.00–5.00 ladder and a descriptive scale for Kinder, alongside percentage, letter and GPA. Every one of them is a suggestion: rename, delete or replace anything, or ignore the lot and write your own.

Yes, in Settings → Education level. It is not a small change, though: the level decides how a school year is cut into terms and which grading schemes exist, so nothing carries across. Every class, student, mark, lesson plan and exam on the device is deleted, and every backup you have taken stops working for good — including files you saved elsewhere. Your name, your plan and your app settings stay. The app asks you to type CHANGE to confirm.

Yes. The free plan holds one, written in a sitting and printable for good after that; a paid plan holds as many as you like and keeps them all editable. For elementary and high school, plans are laid out as ILAW — Intentions, Learning experience, Assessing learning, Ways forward — the four-part framework that replaced the old daily log and detailed plan, with the declaration of AI use it asks for. You write it; the app writes nothing for you. Each plan belongs to a class, a date and, if you want one, a time, and prints on one page with your name, the class and the four parts under their own headings. College accounts get the same four parts in outcomes-based wording, without the ILAW letters.

Yes. Write multiple choice, true or false, identification and essay questions, or import them from an Excel file, then print the exam, an answer sheet and an answer key. The free plan holds one exam of up to 5 questions and prints it in full; a paid plan has no cap on either. Your exams stay on your phone like everything else.

Yes, on a paid plan. Print a card for each student with their name, a QR code and a code. In class, pick the class and which of its subjects and activities to show, then start sharing: your phone shows a QR for students to open on the same Wi-Fi or your hotspot, or you can send the link with Share link. Each student scans their card and sees only their own grades — never a classmate’s. Nothing goes through the internet, it turns itself off after 15, 30 or 60 minutes — whichever you set — and a lost card’s code can be reset.

In your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account returns to Free.
